A glitch that prevented thousands of subscribers to
The Microsoft Network from sending or receiving
E-mail last week continues to trouble the service.

Microsoft Corp. had acknowledged the existence of
a problem with a message transfer agent that
cropped up last Saturday but said mail service had
since been largely restored.

In an interview, MSN's group product manager, Larry
Cohen, said Microsoft engineers discovered the
problem last Sunday. The hiccup affected
subscribers whose names started with P, Q and R,
according to Cohen, who said no messages were lost.

The Macintosh looks bland but then it doesn't intrude in your work; it
simply let's you get your work done easily. I suppose that's why it's so
good. Windows seems to shout at you, gets in your way and is not so
intuitive. - anonymous PC engineer
