Power Computing's Military Wing

News from the MacWorld expo in San Francisco:

=====
Power Computing also rented five M998A2 High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled
Vehicles, better known as Humvees (right). The vehicles circled Moscone Center
all day, like American Troops harassing Manuel Ortega [sic]. And though
Power Computing
didn't bombard the Expo with heavy metal music, they did blare paramilitary
slogans from speakers mounted on the vehicles as they circled. This didn't make
the San Francisco Police Department happy. Fortunately, Power Computing was
able
to weasel out of two citations for disturbing the peace by offering local law
enforcement free rides in the Humvees.

Pogue's Law: In two years, computers will have twice the RAM, twice the
speed, and twice the features of the machine you bought today--but
Microsoft applications will require four times the horsepower.
